Hell-Oh!! Esta vez vamos a hablar de un vídeo peculiar. Es la recreación en la vida real de la canción meme "Yukkuri de iisa" de Touhou Project, en la que Kaguya-hime aparece siendo muy vaga.
Hell-Oh!! This time we're talking about a quirky video. It's "Yukkuri de iisa" funny song brought to real life. There, Kaguya Hime (Touhou Project) is slaking a lot.
Este vídeo me hace mucha gracia. Tanto, que de hecho el nombre de mi blog está inspirado en ella, y Kaguya estuvo en la imagen de cabecera durante mucho tiempo. Hice el cosplay en 2011 y siempre quise recrear este vídeo. De hecho, en 2012 lo intenté, pero no me convencieron las fotos y al final no lo hice.
I really enjoy this video xD So much that I based off of it to make the name for this blog, and Kaguya was in the banner for a long time. I made her cosplay in 2011 and I always wanted to recreate this video. In fact, I got a photoshoot in 2012 for it, but I wasn't pleased with them, so I didn't do it.
En un principio podría pensarse que tomaría menos tiempo que hacer un baile, pero qué va. Cuesta menos editar un baile que todas las fotos una por una. No es que lleven tanta edición, pero he de recortar varias piezas de la foto para poder aplicar desenfoques sin estropear la foto, y crear profundidad y un mejor resalte de los colores. A parte, tuve que limpiar mucho los mechones de pelo y una arruga que había en la manta 😅 Y eso, quieras que no, lleva su rato.
You could think that this video can take less time to edit that a dance, but that's not happening. I had to edit all the photos one by one and that takes more time than just a video. And I don't even do strong editions, but I need to separate in layers pieces of the photo to work better on blurs and colours without messing it up, and adding depth. Also, I had to clean up a lot of hair strands and a wrinkle on the blanket, all the time 😅 It doesn't look like a lot, but it takes a lot of time.
Como habréis podido leer en el anterior post, en diciembre ocurrió un evento desagradable, que trastocó todos mis planes, y comencé un hiatus. En realidad publiqué 3 vídeos en enero, pero me costó mucho unir fuerzas para hacerlos. Realmente los hice porque quería estar bien y me daba ansiedad no estar haciendo nada, pero a la vez, no tenía ganas de hacer nada, ni tampoco leer, jugar o ver anime. El único motivo por el cual pude hacer estos vídeos fue porque ya estaban planeados desde hacía bastante, y si sólo he de seguir algo programado, necesito reunir menos fuerza que si tengo que decidirlo. Es por eso que, a parte de estos, ya no logré hacer nada más, hasta abril.
De hecho... Y aunque a mucha gente pueda molestarle, mi mejora fue un poco a causa del confinamiento. Es como que el mundo se pausó, entonces dejé de sentir presión. Ver que el mundo estaba también mal, no sólo yo, me ayudó a no sentirme tan disociada. También fue un poco el ver cómo había gente incapaz de soportar estar consigo mismos o alejados de los demás, cuando eso es lo más normal para mí, más bien, deseable. Que la gente con facilidad para sociabilizar no es capaz de hacer lo que yo sí. Fue muy liberador. Porque hasta ahora nunca se había dado esa situación; sólo la opuesta: forzar a socializar a aquellos a los que nos drena energéticamente hacerlo. Sé que cuando acabe todo esto, las cosas volverán a ser como antes y nadie se acordará de ser paciente con las cualidades de los demás. Sobretodo si son cualidades que no le son útiles al sistema, aunque son muy necesarias en realidad. Sé que no van a aprender la lección de que si ellos no son capaces de
dejar de ser animales sociales y que les afecta psicológicamente, que no
pueden cambiar, que es imposible; que no van a saber ver y aceptar lo
opuesto, del dolor que sufrimos los que nos pasa lo contrario y se nos
culpabiliza por no poder cambiar. Pero espero haber encontrado alguna especie de solución para entonces... No para cambiar a algo que no me es posible, obvio.
También me animó ver tanto movimiento, actividades y colabs en la comunidad odorite. Fue una suma de cosas, igual que cuando me puse mal.
En fin, espero que os haya gustado el vídeo y no os haya parecido muy denso este último trozo. Era una reflexión que quería expresar. Bueno pues, hasta la próxima!
Like I said in the last post, in December, a terrible event happened. And that messed up all my plans and I started a hiatus. Truth to be told, I uploaded 3 videos in January, but it took all my strength to do it. I made the effort, because I wanted to be fine, and I felt anxious because I wasn't doing anything, but at the same time I felt no desire of doing anything, not even reading, watching anime or playing games. The only reason why I was able to do it was because it was scheduled, and I find easier just keep moving if something's scheduled than start moving and deciding what to do next. That's why when the scheduled videos ended, I wasn't able to do more. I didn't felt motivated by anything, until April.
In fact, and maybe some people can get offended by this, but I don't care, as well as they don't care about my feelings, one of the reasons whyI started to feel a bit betterwas everything about the lockdown. It's like... the world paused. So, I stopped feeling pressure to keep up. Like, seeing the whole world on fire, just like me, made me feel less dissociated. And also, seeing people go mad because they couldn't socialise and go out. Wow, they couldn't do the opposite, it was bad for their mental health, it's not something they can change. It's how their brain works. Seeing that, when, for me, it's the opposite, but I'm villianized because I can't keep up, I'm forzed to do what I can't, what causes me anxiety, depression and other problems. ALL THE TIME, not just during a f* month lockdown. I also can't change how I am and feel. But the way I am is not socially accepted. And I know when everything goes back to "normal" I will have the same trouble, and no one will learn to respect and have patience with others' personalities. But... I hope I find a solution by then. Of course, not for changing to who I can't be.
I also got motivated by watching all the collabs and movement in the odorite community. It was because of a lot of things, just like when I felt bad.

El 2º episodio es el nº 17, el traje Casual de Iori Minase (The iDOLM@STER). Lo hice en 2013 y le hice un arreglo en 2018. A decir verdad, creo que podría salirme mejor ahora, pero no está en mi lista de prioridades.

But, to be honest, I started sewing it because I wanted to use the skirt for other video, before adding the blue lines to it xD

El 2º episodio es el nº 14, el uniforme escolar de Ema Skye de Ace Attorney (Hôzuki Akane, Gyakuten Saiban). Lo hice en 2011, pero he ido cambiando piezas a lo largo de los años; la última renovación fue en 2019, porque quería grabar los episodios de Ciencia con Ema Skye. En realidad, todavía hay cosas que planeo cambiar en un futuro.

I made it in 2011, but I've been changing pieces during the years; last time I changed something was in 2019, because I wanted to record Science with Ema Skye episodes. Hell-Oh!! Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde
que publiqué por última vez! Un año, prácticamente… Pero, la
verdad, he estado demasiado ocupada y han pasado muchas cosas. En
realidad, me gustaba escribir sobre los bailes grabados porque así
recuerdo mejor lo que ocurrió o las fechas, en más detalle que en
la descripción del vídeo, pero lo dejé pasar, poco a poco… Pero
esta vez tocaba post, sí o sí. Porque hablamos de cosplay!
( Lo siento por las inconsistencias en el tipo de letras. Lo he tratado de arreglar varias veces, y blogger lo ha cambiado todo el tiempo y ya me niego a volverlo a arreglar ._.)
Hell-Oh!!It’s been a while since I posted
last time! Almost one year… But, to be honest, I’ve been really
busy, so many things happened. I liked writing about the dance covers
that I’ve recorded, because by doing that I can recall what
happened or when I did, in more detail than with what I write on the
video description, but I kind of… pushed that aside.
But now, it’s posting time. Because,
it’s about cosplay!
(I'm sorry about font inconsistencies, but blogger kept changing them out of no reason, I kept fixing it, but I'm tired of this, so I'm leaving it like this ._.)
Como
ya habéis debido averiguar por el título, esta vez se trata del
traje Palace of Dragon de Iori Minase (The iDOLM@STER) de su unit
Ryuuguu Komachi.
As you
would have guessed from the title, this time is about the “Palace
of Dragon” Iori Minase’s costume, from her unit Ryuuguu Komachi
(The iDOLM@STER)
Hice
este traje por primera vez entre 2011~2012. La verdad es que en ese momento fue una
mejora respecto al nivel que tenía anteriormente y estaba muy feliz
de cómo me quedó… Pero según fui mejorando más, siempre me
quedó la sensación de que podía mejorarlo. A parte, jamás grabé
el Smoky Thrill con el cosplay completo, porque me pudo el hype y
grabé cuando tenía el cosplay a mitad, y luego de entonces no me
molesté en rehacer el vídeo. Y más adelante, dejó de cerrarme el
pecho del vestido y ya no pude.
Así
que decidí que era el momento de rehacer este traje. Me gusta mucho
este traje ♥
First time I did this costume was in
2011~2012. Truth to be told, it was a huge leap from the other
costumes that I had done at that time and I was really happy with it…
But as I improved, I’ve had this lingering sensation, that I could
do it better now. Also, I’d never recorded Smoky Thrill in full
Cosplay, because the hype got the best of me and I recorded with the
costume half-way done, and never bothered to remade that video. Then,
it was to late, because the costume was too tight on the chest area
and didn’t close (?).
So I decided that it was time to re-do
this costume. I like it a lot ♥
Los
post de cosplay suelen ser muy largos ya,
y este se haría demasiado largo si me pongo a comparar el traje
pasado con el actual, así que me voy a centrar en hablar del actual,
y podéis ver el proceso de la versión anterior AQUÍ para comparar la mejora, o verlo en el episodio
correspondiente de cosplay closet, que añadiré aquí cuando sea
público.
Cosplay
post are long as is, and this one would be huge if I try to make a
comparison of both of them, so I’m going to focus on the new one,
you can see how I did the old version HERE to see how it was
improved, or watch it in its cosplay closet episode, that I will ad
here when it’s public.
Para
este cosplay, he utilizado: mi pelo y ojos, telas (2 lilas, 3~4
blancas, 1 aguamarina, 1 rojo vino, 1 dorada, 1 azulada de brillo,
entretela de pegar), boina lila, funnygummy, masilla epoxy, varias
pinturas, bies morado, cinta dorada y lila, cremalleras, velcros,
botones, pegamento, cartón pluma, acetato, abalorios, goma elástica,
botas rojo vino, crinolina, cancan, imperdibles, hilos, diadema,
alambre
y tubos de rizar el pelo.
For
this cosplay I’ve used: my own hair and eyes, fabrics
(2 lilac, 3~4 white ones, 1 aquamarine, 1 wine red, 1 golden, 1
shiny blue-ish, interfacing), a lilac beret,
funnygummy, epoxy putty, various paints, purple bias,
golden and lilac ribbons, zippers, velcro, buttons, glue, foam board,
acetate,
beads, rubber bands, wine red boots, crinoline, cancan, safety pins,
threads, headband, wire and some hair curling tubes.
🐉BOINA
y
ACCESORIOS del pelo 🐉
No
me gusta mucho cómo se ve la costura si la boina está cosida, así
que me decidí por comprar una boina, y la verdad es que el color es
bastante similar al del vestido, así que estoy contenta.
Reutilicé
la diadema lila sobre la que va sujetado el dragón y el pañuelito
blanco.
El
pañuelito blanco también lo reutilicé, pero le añadí una capa de
la nueva tela blanca semitransparente, para darle más cuerpo y
coherencia con el resto del vestido.
(Del
dragón hablaré en otro punto con más detalle)
🐉BERET
and HAIR ACCESSORIES
🐉
I
don’t like how
the seams are in hand sewn berets, so I purchased one. The colour is
pretty much on point, so I’m pleased.
I
used again the purple hairband from the old cosplay.
I
also used again the old tiny handkerchief, but I added one more layer
of white fabric. This time of the new white sheer fabric, so it’s
coherent with the rest of the pieces.
(I’ll
talk about the dragon later)
🐉BOTAS
🐉
Decidí
comprar las botas, porque al ser de caña tan alta, llevan mucha tela
y necesita elasticidad (cosa que el fieltro, utilizado en las demás
piezas del mismo color, no tiene). Por suerte, encontré estas botas,
de un color bastante parecido. Sólo son un poquito más oscuras,
pero está bien. Además, el tacón es ancho y la suela no resbala,
así que es bastante cómodo para bailar!
Reutilicé
el cierre con botón dorado que hice para las botas del traje
antiguo, sólo tuve que teñirlo un poco para oscurecer la tela. Y
rehice la pulsera dorada, con una tela dorada (en lugar de cinta
ocre) con una tira de crinolina dentro.
🐉BOOTS
🐉
This
time, I decided to buy the boots. Since the boots
are so long, there’s a lot of fabric needed, and it needs to be
somehow elastic, to be able to bend the knee. This means I couldn’t
do it with the wine red felt I was using for the pieces of that
colour. So, if I had to use other fabric, I might as well just buy it
and have it easier. Luckily, I found these boots, the length is
perfect, the heels are wide and comfortable to dance with and the
colour is pretty close, just a little bit darker.
I
used again the strap with golden button of the old boots, I just had
to lightly dye darker that fabric. And I did a new ankle bracelet
with golden fabric (instead of ocher ribbon) and a piece of horsehair
braid inside.
🐉MUÑEQUERAS

Las
hice casi igual que las antiguas, con fieltro
rojo vino,
pero en lugar del cierre con velcro, puse cierre con botón. Hice la
tira con la tela dorada en lugar de cinta ocre, y puse una capa extra
de tela blanca con
brillo, que he utilizado en todas las piezas con tela blanca.
🐉WRISTBAND

I
made them almost the same way I did the old ones, with wine red felt.
But, instead of velcro, I used a button. I did the golden piece with
golden fabric instead the ocher ribbon, and I put an extra layer of
the new white fabric over the base white layer.
🐉BLUSA
🐉
Reutilicé
todo de la blusa antigua. La descosí por completo, cambié un poco
la forma de las mangas y la volví a coser, con una capa extra por
encima, de tela blanca semitransparente con un poco de brillo.
Obviamente, la blusa antigua no tenía suficiente tela para dar el
volumen en las mangas, ese volumen se lo he dado con la tela nueva. Y
pude reutilizar el velcro del cierre y la cinta dorada, que tuve
suficiente! Puse gomas elásticas en los puños de las mangas.
🐉BLOUSE

I
used all parts from the old blouse. I un-sewed it all. I changed a
little bit the sleeves’ shape and I sewed it again, with an extra
layer of the new white fabric over it. Obviously, the old blouse
didn’t had enough fabric for
the puffy sleeves, so I just used that as a base, and gave the puffy
look to the new
layer. I was able to use again the golden ribbon and I had enough! I
put elastic bands to gather the sleeves.
🐉FALDA
🐉
Reutilicé
todo de la falda anterior, también. La descosí por completo y
recorté la pieza según la forma nueva. Me basé en el volumen del
cancan, esta vez. La falda aguamarina tiene una forma cónica y la
capa superior de tela de rejilla blanca a lunares, da más volumen,
con fruncidos diferentes, además tratando de emular el degradado de
la falda original. Tuve que utilizar dos tipos de lunares, porque no
había suficiente con la antigua, pero de la aguamarina incluso me
sobró! El cierre lo hice con cremallera y botón.
🐉SKIRT
🐉
I
used all parts from the old skirt, too. I un-sewed it all and I cut
the pieces in the new shape I decided. I based off the petti I was
going to use. The teal base of the skirt has a cone shape, and, over
it, I put several layers of the white fishnet fabric with dots,
gathered to create volume and kind of gradation from teal to white.
For this, I also had to use a new fabric, because I didn’t have
enough with just the old one. But I even had leftovers of the teal
one! I closed it with a button and a zipper.
🐉VESTIDO
🐉
No
fue posible encontrar una tela de color tan parecido como la vez
anterior, así que mezclé una tela de sábana lila clara con una
tela de velo lila más oscura, por encima. El color queda menos
azulado, pero de un brillo similar. Me
gusta el efecto que hace la superposición de telas :3
Le
di el volumen a la falda dependiendo del cancan+la falda aguamarina.
Reutilicé la cremallera del vestido antiguo. Esta vez, en lugar de
cinta, utilicé bies para el borde, también
añadí crinolina,
y quedó mucho mejor. También utilicé bies (esta vez lila) para
dejar las costuras limpias por dentro, ya que no quise hacerle forro
al vestido. Tiene demasiadas capas ya como para hacerle forro.
Para
el recogido del centro, utilicé sólo la tela superior, más delgada
y semitransparente. Hice fruncidos para los laterales y para el
centro hice un efecto plisado.
Para
el cuello, utilicé una capa de la tela lila interna, una capa de
entretela no
tan rígida
y una de tela azulada brillante. Le cosí cinta lila que me sobró de
coser el vestido antiguo. Decidí no coser o pintarle escamas, porque
no estaba segura de que fuera a quedar muy bien. He descubierto hace
no mucho una tela brillante con escamas en relieve que le huviera
quedado de lujo, qué lástima ;-;

🐉DRESS
🐉
I
couldn’t find a fabric with a colour so close to the original as I
did with the old cosplay, so, I mixed 2 fabrics. A base light purple
and another one, darker and a bit seethrough. The purple isn’t as
blueish as the original but it’s close enough I guess. And I like
the effect of layering :3
For
the skirt part of the dress, I based off the volume of the petti+teal
skirt. I used the zipper from the old dress. This time, instead of
ribbon, I properly used bias tape for the bottom of the dress. I also
put horsehair braid, so the shape’s much better. I also used purple
bias along all the dress, to leave clean
seams, since I didn’t want to make lining due to having enough
layers already.
For
the detail of the center, I only used the seethrough fabric, since
it’s thinner. I gathered the side pieces, and I made pleats for the
center piece.
For
the collar, I picked a shiny blueish fabric. I used one layer of the
light purple fabric and one of thin interlining too. I sewed the same
light purple ribbon as in the old dress, from leftovers I had from
the time I sewed it (lucky!) I decided not painting/sewing the scales
this time, since I wasn’t sure it could turn out nicely. I recently
knew about a shiny fabric with scales in volume that would’ve been
perfect ;-; what a loss…

talk about the fishes later)
🐉CINTURÓN

Hice
el cinturón con fieltro rojo vino, de la tela de deshacer una de las
botas del traje antiguo. En realidad, hice dos intentos, porque el
primero no me gustó cómo estaba quedando, y lo deshice.
De
modo que, omitiendo el proceso del cinturón 2.1, el 2.2 tiene una
base de fieltro, una capa superior con un trenzado y un relleno de
una capa de fieltro con entretela rígida pegada. El cierre es de un
imperdible pegado a la hebilla (de la que hablaré en otro punto).
🐉BELT

I
made the belt with wine red felt. I un-sewed one of the old boots and
I used that material. To be honest, I made 2 attempts, because I
didn’t like the first one and I teared it apart.
So,
skipping the process of the first attempt, the final one has a felt
base, a braided layer and a layer inside, consisting in 1 layer of
felt with 1 layer of thick interlining ironed to it. It closes up
with a safety pin glued to the clasp (I’ll talk about the clasp
later).
🐉PENDIENTE

El
primer pendiente lo hice con arcilla blanca, y eso pesaba un kintal.
Así que aprendí la lección y… pensé hacerlo de fimo, cosa que
no salió muy bien a causa de una reacción extraña con la pintura
(aún no lo entiendo, horneado estaba). Pero un día, estaba de
suerte, y encontré en una tienda de abalorios estas conchas (compré
un par para tener sustituto en caso de pérdida, aunque en el cosplay
sólo se utiliza uno). Y
no las he pintado, porque son claras, y de lejos, sólo con esa línea
dorada, ya queda bien, y de ese tamaño queda muy bonito, la verdad ♥
Le añadí el enganche del pendiente y no tuve que hacer mucho más.
🐉EARRING
🐉
I
made the first earring with clay. It was too heavy and not good. So,
I learnt about it and… I tried doing it with fimo, but it didn’t
turn out well because of a weird reaction of the paint (I still don’t
understand this. I baked it and all). But, one day I was lucky and I
found tiny shells
in a beads’ store (I bought a pair, to have a spare one just in
case, because in this cosplay you only need 1). I didn’t paint
them, since they’re pretty light and just with that tiny golden
line, it looks golden from afar, and it looks really nice and
delicate ♥ I added the hooks and that’s it.

DRAGÓN, COLLAR y
HEBILLA 🐉
Todas
estas piezas van en la misma categoría porque han tenido un proceso
bastante similar. Todas están hechas de funnygummy y pintadas con
sus respectivos colores o dorado y barnizadas. Ahora, para las
diferencias:

DRAGON, NECKLACE & BELT CLASP 🐉
All
these pieces are in the same point because they had a similar making
process. All of them are made with funnygummy and painted with their
respective colours/golden
and varnish.
Now,
for the differences:
Peces→
Pieza de acetato central, piezas de tubo de plástico para la zona de
pasar el hilo (sacadas de un bote de spray). Las bolitas doradas son
de masilla epoxy.
Fishes→Acetate
center piece, plastic tube pieces for the hooks (got them from a
fragrance bottle). The golden beads were made of epoxy putty.

Hebilla→
Pieza base de acetato.
Clasp→Acetate
base piece.
Collar→
A parte del color y el barniz, di una capa extra de medium
metalizado, para darle un brillo nacarado. Unidas por un cordel y el
cierre tiene metales de tres colores diferentes, porque he utilizado
el material disponible en casa xD
Necklace→Aside
the colour and varnish, I also put a layer of metal medium to make it
look pearly. I put them through a cord and the clasp has 3 different
colours, because I used what I already had at home xD
Dragón→
Base de tubos de esponjita para rizar el pelo. Pieza interna de
cartón pluma, con fieltro por la zona trasera y dos imperdibles (uno
para unirlo al pañuelo blanco y el otro para unirlo a la diadema).
Alambre para ayudar a dar forma a la cola, el cuello, los brazos y
los cuernos. Ha
quedado muy grande, a causa de los tubos de rizos, pero queda bien xD
Dragon→Hair
curling tubes base
for the body. Brass base for the neck, tail, horns and arms. Center
piece made of foam board with felt in the back and 2 safety pins (one
to attach to the headband and one for the tiny handkerchief). It
ended up being quite big due to the base size of the hair
curling tubes, but
it looks good, so it’s ok xD
En
general, estoy MUY contenta con la mejora de todas estas piezas, el
peso es muy ligero para todo esta vez, ya que la vez anterior utilicé
goma ema o arcilla blanca. Y he mejorado mi habilidad para dejar
superficies más pulidas, formas más regulares y los peces son más
parecidos entre sí.
Overall,
I’m so pleased with the upgrade. The weigh is also super light now,
since last time I used clay in almost all the pieces. I also upgraded
my skills ;-; The surfaces are smoother and the fishes are more
similar between them.

Bueno,
pues, hasta aquí, el cosplay por piezas. Dije que no iba a hablar
del anterior, pero hasta cierto punto es imposible, ya que he
reutilizado cosas o aprendido cómo quería rehacer las cosas esta
vez, aprendiendo de fallos pasados. Ahora, como
reflexión,
creo que la mejora es increíble, y es por muchos motivos. No tanto realmente por hacer las cosas mejor, sino por la elección de materiales, la paciencia y otras cosas que podría decirse que son circunstanciales, pero que, en suma, marcan una gran diferencia.
So,
that’s it. I said I wasn’t going to speak about the old cosplay,
but, to a certain point, it’s a bit difficult, since I re-used
things of it and learnt from the mistakes I made there. So, as a
reflection, I think the improvement is so huge, and it is due to a
lot of reasons. Not so much about the skills, but because of more
circumstantial things, like the fabrics chosen, patience and so on…
but, all counts, and the upgrade is unbelievable.

fin, que este traje
me gusta mucho y siento que me ha servido para ver mi mejora
claramente.
Finalmente,
grabé el Smoky Thrill con el cosplay nuevo. Objetivo cumplido!!
