Hell-Oh!! Bueno, pues como hay mucho trabajo por delante con eso de poner al día los bailes (no en vano mi meta fue centrarme en hacer más cantidad de bailes y menos vlogs), he decidido intercalar los más antiguos con los más nuevos. Así que esta vez toca hablar de Smoky Thrill (sí, así en plural)
Hell-Oh!! So, since there are a lot of dances to talk about (well, I decided to do more dances and less vlogs...), I think I'll be interleaving the older and the newer dances. So, today we're talking about Smoky Thrill (yep, in plural)
Bueno, la explicación de rigor: Smoky Thrill es una de las canciones de la unit Ryuugu Komachi de The iDOLM@STER, formada por Iori Minase, Azusa Miura y Ami Futami. Y su traje especial es el Palace of Dragon (aunque normalmente lo llamo con el nombre de la unit, porque es más conocido 😅 ) En mi caso, he bailado la parte de Iori, con el cosplay respectivo. Y ahora os voy a explicar en más detalle mi historial con este baile xD
Well, first things first: Smoky Thrill is one of the songs of the Ryuuguu Komachi unit from The iDOLM@STER, formed by Iori Minase, Azusa Miura and Ami Futami. And the special dress for this is Palace of Dragon (though I usually call it by the unit's name, because is better known 😅 ) In my case, I danced Iori's part, with the cosplay too. And now, I'm going to explain my story with this dance xD
Primero, fue una de las primeras cosas que bailé en mi canal, en 2011, aunque al principio lo que subía eran prácticas, porque me emocionaba demasiado el hecho de que empezaba a salirme el baile y no tenía paciencia xD
First, it was one of the first things I danced in my channel, in 2011. Even though, at first, it was only practices, because when the dance started to look like something, I got very hyped and I didn't have patience, so I uploaded it like so xD
Después, lo volví a bailar cuando estaba haciendo la primera versión del Palace of Dragon (en 2012). Pero, de nuevo, bailé con las cosas a mitad, en este caso, el traje; bailé sin las botas, porque me dió de nuevo el hype y no pude aguantarme y me quise grabar YA. En tema pasos está algo mejor, al menos se nota que me lo sé, aunque había muchos detalles del baile que sencillamente me pasaban desapercibidos y, ahora mismo, no entiendo cómo no los veía, pero bueno, supongo que es normal en el proceso de aprendizaje.
I later danced it again, when I was sewing the first version of Palace of Dragon (2012). But, then, again, I danced with half done stuff, this time the cosplay; I danced without the boots, because I was too hyped and I couldn't wait to have finished the cosplay to record it. I needed to record it NOW. Regarding the steps, it's a bit better. At least you notice I know the dance and I don't look at a screen. Though, there were a lot of details that I wasn't able to notice, and now I wonder why??? But I guess it's all about learning and experience.
Entonces, siempre se me quedó clavada la espinita de no haberlo podido grabar con el cosplay completo, y de una manera que no se me cortasen las piernas al grabar, y con más espacio para moverme. Pero, como podréis apreciar en esos dos vídeos, estaba extremadamente delgada. Así que... cuando volví a un peso normal, aunque el traje me seguía viniendo, era demasiado ajustado como para moverse con comodidad, por no hablar de que no cerraba en la zona del pecho 😅 Y no podía grabarlo... Así que decidí rehacerlo desde cero, este año, ya que por unas cosas y otras, no era posible repararlo.

So, I always felt bad for not having recorded the dance with the full cosplay, and in a way that my legs aren't cut off the screen and with more space to move. But, as you can see in the videos, I was very thin. So... when I returned to a normal weight, while still fitting, it was too fitted to dance with it. And the chest wouldn't fit anymore 😅 And I couldn't record it like that... So, I decided to sew it again, this year, because it was impossible doing it just by fixing it.

Normalmente pongo el vídeo nuevo al final, pero en este caso tenía más sentido así. Ah, y os he dejado links a los post del proceso de ambas versiones del cosplay en los párrafos anteriores, porque aquí no me voy a detener para explicar nada más del traje.

Bueno, pues, como ya dije, quería tener más espacio y un fondo más bonito, así que, inspirándome en el fondo marino que hice el año anterior para Marine Dreamin', hice un nuevo fondo, con más cosas. Hice varios detalles con cartulinas, hice guirnaldas de peces, colgué las mil veces usadas bolas blancas (que uso tanto de burbujas como de nieve xD), las bolas de papel (burbujas), diferentes telas para dar profundidad, efecto suelo de fondo marino, efecto de olas y brillitos. También hice una medusa con un parasol pequeño, de esos que se ponen en la cabeza con una goma, y una red de pescar con cordel. Me hubiera gustado poner luces de navidad, pero siempre se la lía al enfoque automático de la cámara, así que pasé... Y me hubiera encantado poner burbujas, pero también hubiera desenfocado... A falta de ello, las puse con efectos en el vídeo un poquito.
Well, so, as I already said, I wanted to have a fancier background, so, I got my inspiration from the sea bottom background I made last year for Marine Dreamin', and I added more stuff. I made a lot of little details with cardboard, I made fish garlands, I hung the white balls I used a hundres times (which work both as snow and bubbles), the paper balls (bubbles), different fabrics to make it look like a sea bottom, waves effect and glitter. I also made a jellyfish with a hat parasol, one of those that get attached with an elastic, and a fishing net, done with string. I would've liked adding lights, but it always messes up the auto focus of my camera, so I didn't put anything. Also, I would've liked having bubbles, but I was afraid it could mess with the focus, so I forgot about it. I added some bubbles in the editing, as compensation.
Ahí podéis ver el escenario mientras lo montaba, y cómo doy un extra de iluminación (izquierda). Y ahí está Midna, que se portó super bien y estuvo ahí todo el tiempo, mientras lo montaba todo, grababa el baile y el cosplay closet y hasta que lo recogí todo. ♥
There, you can see the stage while I was setting it up. Also, how I add more light (left) and how Midna was super well behaved and stayed there all the time, since I started setting it up until I finished recording the dance and the cosplay closet and when I started packing it up all. ♥
Y bueno, poco más, que esta vez decidí añadir closeups, aunque tal vez acabe utilizando el long shot para algo, quién sabe. Más que nada porque la mejora en baile también es brutal, no sólo en el cosplay 😅
También cabe añadir que me basé en una cover del baile, no en la fuente original. La misma cover de la que lo aprendí la primera vez, porque me daba más nostalgia. Pero debo decir que esa cover no es del todo correcta, ya que se nota que la odorite no disponía de la versión long shot, así que hay algunos pasos que no coinciden del todo. Y, ya sé que es culpa mía por no haberlo comprobado mejor, pero creo que queda bonito igualmente, así que no me importa tanto.

This time I added closeups, but I may end up using the long shot for something, who knows. Because the upgrade in the dance is brutal, not just the cosplay upgrade 😅
I also want to add that I didn't learn the dance from the original source. I felt so nostalgic learning it from the same dance cover that I used to learn it the first time, that I completely forgot checking it, my bad. It's pretty obvious that the odorite didn't have access to a long shot, because some steps aren't completely accurate. But, I think it looks pretty anyway, so I'm fine with it.
